Doing these steps will help you prepare for your projects and make sure you don't forget some important aspects.
Having a plan of what you want to do, where you would see your things, what you like and dislike of your current space etc, will help you and the designer create the perfect space.
Having a budget is very important for many reasons, but mostly it will help all parties keep track and make sure that all expenses, design ideas and materials are within your spending limit.
Know your timeframe! Knowing your timeframe helps you get prepared in advance to clean your space, prepare financially, but also help the designer to order the materials and schedule the project during the days that work the best for you.
Decluttering seems obvious to most, but somehow still gets forgotten very often. Having a clean, decluttered space helps you go through what you still need and what you don't use anymore. This will now make your new space look less cluttered and you will officially start fresh once your project is completed.
Hiring a designer is not on the top of the list as many clients enjoy doing their renovations on their own. Having a designer will help ease the stress of the renovation, make sure you haven’t forgotten anything important but also make sure the design, the colors and the style all goes together nicely creating a beautiful space that you will enjoy for longer.
Lastly, prepare your questions. Before starting a project or meeting with a designer, write down all the questions you have. Doing so will ease the stress when putting a plan together, helping you forget less and having all your questions and concerns answered before the project starts.
